Opera SLO is staging The Wizard of Oz in May, and I’m really hoping to get involved in some way, whether it’s acting or working backstage—though I’d obviously prefer being cast. It feels a bit surreal because I’ve staged that same show so many times in SLO, and not being part of it this time just doesn’t feel right. To make it happen, I’m sending in an audition tape and hoping it works out. Being part of such a beloved show would mean so much to me, and I’m pouring my heart into making it happen. It really feels like returning home to SLO—there’s no place like home. Fingers crossed!
