I can’t believe how hot it is in California in October—it's been almost 100 degrees! Despite the heat, I pushed myself to finish decorating the yard for Halloween. I went with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme, and after hours of trying to make it work on one side of the yard, I ended up completely refocusing the layout. Maybe it’s my ADD or my perfectionist tendencies, but I wanted everything to be just right. I even got a bit sunburnt, but I’m almost done, and it’s looking pretty good. Once it got dark, I went out to light it up, and tomorrow I’ll grab more lights, a giant pumpkin, and put up Jack, the main character. It’s been quite a process, but I think I like how it’s all turning out.
