Hung out with Lupe today, and let me just say—champagne brunch? A+ decision. I honestly can’t even remember the last time I had a proper brunch, which feels like a personal failure, but we’re fixing that now. Mid-mimosa, a lady bumped into me, and plot twist—it was one of my dad’s old neighbors. You know, the one I painted a picture for? Because apparently, my life is written by a sitcom writer who loves a good “small world” moment.

After brunch, we figured a little post-bubbles sobriety walk was in order, so we toured the Diega apartments like we were actually in the market. Then, off to the zoo, where Lupe casually rattled off a ridiculous number of animal facts—because, as it turns out, she goes to the zoo a lot. It totally reminded me of when I visited Naples and the Italians just knew everything—history, food, the exact spot where their great-great-grandfather once stood. Like, how do you have this much knowledge just sitting in your brain, ready to go?
