My dad moved to California to be closer to his kids and grandkids, hoping to strengthen family bonds and create more memories together since his health is NOT good.  However, it's been two and a half years since we've spoken because he has consistently behaved like a complete jerk. On this Father's Day, I'm finding solace in celebrating something positive—I'm grateful the Tony Awards are on tonight, providing a much-needed distraction and a reason to celebrate amidst the emotional turmoil.

They say " you get what you give " But I never got what I gave I got distance when I gave love

I got betrayal when I gave loyalty

I got void when they left whereas

I gave comfort and warmth

I got nothing when I gave my everything.
