This week, I applied for three different jobs, and I was thrilled to get an offer for one of them. But, of course, it’s not the one I really want. I’m holding out hope for one of the other two, which feel like a better fit, but now I’m caught in this stressful waiting game. If I wait too long, I risk losing the offer I already have on the table, but if I jump on it, I might miss out on the chance for the job I actually want. It’s that classic dilemma of playing it safe versus taking a risk, and I’m not sure which way to go.
