Jury

After watching a plethora of cases in documentaries, I’m starting to question just how fair a jury of 12 people really is. I mean, we’re talking about random people—some barely paying attention, some bringing in their own biases, and some just wanting to get home as soon as possible. It’s wild to think that life-altering decisions are placed in the hands of strangers who may or may not fully grasp the weight of what they’re deciding. Sure, it’s supposed to be a fair system, but after seeing case after case where things went sideways, I can’t help but wonder if it’s really justice—or just luck of the draw.
