B-day

I've decided not to attend my nephew's birthday party tonight since my dad will be there. I'm grateful for therapy today; it helped me process my feelings about the situation. My mom suggested I ignore him, but I find it challenging to understand why she still engages with him after years of his cruelty towards her. Oh well.
