I was watching the show Found (which I highly recommend), and there was this incredible moment at the end of last week’s episode that really hit me. Young Gabriella was talking about Bella, saying:

"Bella is not broken, don’t say that. Bella is the strongest, most resilient girl I’ve ever met. Every time I see her, it’s like there’s this light, this goodness, that I’ve never felt with anyone else. She is not broken, she is hurt. But she’s healing, and one day, she’ll speak again, and I, for one, cannot wait to hear what she needs to say."

That moment stayed with me because, honestly, I think that’s me—a lot. Hurt, but healing. Resilient, even if it doesn’t always feel that way. And regardless of what anyone, including my family, has to say, I’m ready to speak my truth and I hope people are just as eager to listen as I am to finally let it out.
