It’s been only 72 hours since all my teeth were removed, and although there's still some pain, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The real horror comes when I take out my temporary teeth and see the scars and stitches in my mouth. It’s like Frankenstein in there, a jarring, grotesque sight that makes me feel nauseous. The combination of healing flesh and surgical threads creates a scene straight out of a nightmare, and it's beyond frightening to witness in the mirror.
