Glinda the Good Witch of the North

Metaphorically speaking, Glinda is our higher self. Our higher self is always with us offering guidance. We only have to listen! My therapist Sadie used "Oz" as an example once.

Glinda: You don’t need to be helped any longer. You always had the power to go back to Kansas.

Dorothy: I have?

Scarecrow: Then why didn’t you tell her before?

Glinda: Because she wouldn’t have believed me. She had to learn it for herself.

Almost in those EXACT words. That was the last time I saw Sadie and thank her for using MY metaphor of Oz as the perfect example for me.

Our higher self serves only to guide us so we can learn the lessons we need to learn. In the movie, Glinda didn’t tell Dorothy from the start the ruby slippers would take her home. Dorothy had to learn it for herself.
