Horse

My dad had a small collection of carousel horses and animals in his Indiana basement for years. I asked him numerous times if I could have one of them; however, since I live in California, he never seemed to get around to it until recently when he finally decided to move west and bring me my own horse. I had requested a white horse, but he ended up bringing me a black one instead - so I bought some paint and gave it a makeover before displaying it proudly in my San Diego apartment. Every time I looked at the horse, I was reminded of my Dad not speaking to me and my current lack of a home. I put it up for sale on eBay to a woman in Los Angeles, offering delivery as an extra incentive. She paid me cash for the delivery, so although eBay took quite a bit of the profits from the sale, I was glad I made the deal anyway - even if I am a bit sad that my horse is gone.
