In the Heights

Tonight I went to usher at In the Heights, the first musical I have seen since Covid. It was amazing! I have been sleeping in the Mom's garage with my dog Talon and had no clothes since my car had been towed. My Mom who works for the theater had a cancellation and got me an ushering position, although she had to go and by my the proper clothes (which the pants fell off). Interestingly enough, although I have seen the show many times, it was much like my life. Vanessa wanted out but couldn't get an apartment without a cosigner. Abuela wins the lottery (although I didn't do that I had casino winnings and the unemployment, plus the Covis assistance program I was robbed of), and Usnavy ends up staying because family matters most and family is more than blood. The message is this: Your first dream, or even the dream you’ve held for the longest time, won’t be your last dream. Sometimes the unexpected occurs and you’ll find your entire worldview changing, but this isn’t always a bad thing; it’s all about how you deal with these changes and what you make of them that truly matters. We will see what happens to me.
