Lambs

I was eagerly looking forward to attending a play at the Lambs Theater tonight. My mom informed me that we would grab dinner before the show and mentioned there was a parade, so we had to leave quite early—around 4 o'clock for the 7 PM performance. While she was on the phone attempting to make a dinner reservation, I overheard that it was fully booked, given that she waited until the day of the event. She also mentioned she would babysit for an hour until Gabe got home.

However, at 3:45, I received a text saying that dinner was off, and she was still stuck where she was. She returned home just before 4 o'clock, and we headed to the show. Despite having ample time to enjoy a meal, we opted not to. We parked quite far away and strolled to the theater, having 45 minutes before the show began. We watched some of the parade and then enjoyed a 90-minute show filled with fantastic songs. Although it should have brought joy, it left me with a tinge of sadness, as being around the theater without actively participating in a production tends to make me feel a bit uneasy.
