This is a picture of me and my cousin, the famous Leisa Beemer. We were close for a huge part of our lives until family drama, which had nothing to do with me, tore us apart. It seems my Zia Anna (her mom) wrote a lot of negative stuff about my sister and shared it with her sister, my Aunt Lee, who then shared it with my Dad. In true Mario Alvarez fashion, he cut off all communication with his sister Anna, who was also his medical consultant, and as a result, they stopped speaking to me as well. It's been over 10 years now, and it’s truly devastating. When I spent a year in Indiana, I reached out to her, and my cousins' wives did too, but she refused to talk to me, even stating that she heard I was a drug addict. It’s heartbreaking when things that aren't your fault lead to you being punished.
