My Poor Koi

When I returned from Arizona, I noticed that my pond was unusually low, and the pump wasn't working. Despite this, I could still see a few fish swimming around. My mom mentioned that she couldn't recall exactly when, but when she checked on them (admittedly not daily while I was away for four days), she found hardly any water left in the pond. She quickly added more water as the fish were struggling, gasping for air. The next morning, to my dismay, there were no fish left in the pond, and the water was crystal clear. They had been growing for almost a year! Clearly, something had eaten them during the night, especially since the filter wasn't functioning, making them easy targets. It was like shooting fish in a barrel, as the saying goes. Needless to say, I was not happy about it.
