Parade

Last night at SeaWorld, I led the Christmas parade, which felt like a much bigger deal than it might seem. I was super stressed because, although I’d rehearsed the parade weeks ago and learned the elves’ traveling dance, I had never walked it backward while calling out confetti cannons, fog, and lights or setting the precise pace to hit the exact marks on time. In true SeaWorld fashion, with last-minute callouts, I was the only one walking the parade (besides characters and elves). Somehow, I pulled it off perfectly—thanks to great drivers—and even landed every cue. The park wasn’t crowded, which helped, and lots of management walked alongside, making it feel like a real accomplishment. I’m super proud of myself!
