Pickup

Today, my mom was supposed to pick up my sister's kids from school, but then she realized she had to take my dad to the doctor (so obligated). I planned to go to the art institute, but even though my mom said she had nothing before three, she had a chiropractic appointment, which left me no time. Before I nicely said I would pick up her kids at 2:15. My mom said she would be home by 3:30, but suddenly my dad was admitted to the hospital, and she sat there in the ER until 8 PM. I know I should be concerned, and I am, but I am forcing myself not to care even though my stomach is turning. It was my last day to use my Barona card, but as I did a good deed, I got NOTHING! So selfish, I know, but whatever happens to him, sadly he deserves, as he has not been a kind person to many.
