Replaceable

Realizing that everyone is replaceable can be a hard truth to accept. It’s a reminder that no matter how close we are to someone or how crucial they seem in our lives, life continues and people come and go. It’s like in Showgirls when Crystal, after being pushed down the stairs, says in the hospital, “There’s always someone younger and hungrier than you are, darlin’.” This truth can be quite saddening because it emphasizes the fleeting nature of relationships and jobs. Nothing lasts forever, so it’s important to appreciate the time we have with the people we care about.
