Replaced

As I peered at the news on the Children’s House Montessori school in Atascadero, my heart sank. Korey had hired a new play director for an upcoming version of The Wizard of Oz replacing me after 20 years. All of the plans I had made for this to be a better year were crumbling away and I felt as if all hope was lost. Should I reach out and try to explain myself? Or should I move on and accept that what has happened is irreversible? For now, all I can do is stay here in sorrow.
