Replaced
This morning, unable to sleep, I found myself watching Mom on Nick at Nite. It was the first season—the one where she still has her two kids—reminding me of how the show started as a lighthearted sitcom about a mom juggling the chaos of family life. But as the seasons went on, the kids were quietly written off like yesterday’s leftovers, and even the lead eventually exited, leaving behind a show that felt like it went to rehab and never looked back. It’s a bit sad to think about how, even in TV land, people can be so easily replaced.
