Sorry
When I was a kid, "I'm sorry" was a magical phrase that could dissolve almost any situation—spilled juice, broken toys, hurt feelings. It was a simple, easy fix, and most of the time, it was all anyone needed to hear to move on. But as an adult, I’ve learned that those two words aren’t the cure-all they used to be. Apologies now come with layers of accountability, history, and expectations. Saying sorry no longer automatically erases the hurt or repairs trust—it’s often just the first step in a long, complicated process of making things right.
