Sorry Again

Some parents just expect children to do as they are told and that’s it. There is never a need for the parent to say sorry. Kids just need to obey them. Period. Some parents find it hard to say ‘sorry’ because they think it will mean that they lose their authority in their children’s eyes.

For some people it is a matter of being consequent. “To say sorry to them means that they say: I’m aware that I have hurt your feelings and i should have acted differently. I apologize for that. I will do my best to never let it happen again.” But they know they will do it again, because they know them selves and they don’t have the power to change their behavior, even if they wanted to.
