Struggles

For years, I had kept my mental health struggles to myself. But then, after much contemplation and fear of judgment, I decided to open up and share what was going on. It felt awkward in the beginning, like every time I said a word it sounded wrong and imperfect. But each time I spoke about it, I grew more comfortable in being vulnerable and passionate about my story. Despite this new found confidence, there was still a part of me that remained scared - scared of not being understood or accepted for who I was.
