Now that my episode aired last week, all the feelings from the day we filmed it came rushing back—like a tidal wave of confetti and emotions. I know I should just sit in the gratitude, and don’t get me wrong, I am grateful. Winning on The Price Is Right at all is wild, and walking away with nearly $9,000 in prizes and a river rafting trip to Jackson Hole is nothing short of amazing. But losing the Showcase Showdown when I was that close hit way harder than I ever expected. It wasn’t just about the big-ticket prizes. For me, it felt symbolic—like winning that final round would’ve been more than just a win; it would’ve been a sign that maybe, finally, life was starting to turn around. I know it sounds dramatic, but in that moment, losing didn’t just mean missing out on a dream package. It felt like missing out on the fresh start I’ve been quietly craving for a long time.
