The Challenger

While watching This Is Us, there was a scene where the kids saw the Challenger explode in 1986 at school, and I’m pretty sure the same thing happened to me. But weirdly, I don’t remember it at all. It’s strange because I usually feel like I remember everything, especially huge events like that. It’s kind of like 9/11—you’d think those moments would be burned into your memory forever. Or even COVID—something that wrecked so many lives, but now we all just kind of move on and act like it never happened, even though it’s still around. How do we forget the unforgettable so easily?
