I find it interesting what people pay attention to in the world. Personally, I don't follow much and rarely watch the news, but my mom does, and the constant talk about Trump drives me nuts. I'm more concerned about the bigger picture, like the mess the world is becoming with climate change, the ongoing pandemic, and issues like the right to abortion, and the rights of drag queens and trans individuals. It feels like we are going backwards in time with the recent wave of restrictive laws and policies. While others focus on political drama, I worry about the rights and acceptance of marginalized communities and the overall direction society is heading.
