Wasting Time

As usual, I got up bright and early today, diving back into my writing for the book. Despite my efforts, it's not shaping up the way I envisioned. When the sun emerged, I decided to channel my creative energy into a Charlie Brown painting for my sister's backyard, aiming to capture the essence of one of the most cherished Christmas stories. Meanwhile, my mom started her day by heading to an AA meeting, leaving me alone with my projects.

She was away for a good 2 1/2 hours, during which I contemplated a casino visit with the lure of $100 in free play. However, after being up for nine hours straight, fatigue set in, and I ended up taking a nap. When she returned, she told me she promised to play with Archie and offered me to drop her off, I was too tired to muster any interest. About 4 1/2 hours later, when she returned it was dark and I was exhausted after managing to complete my painting, tidy up the house once again, and even gave the kitchen floor a good polish. Wrapping up the day with an episode of "The Real Housewives of Potomac," I called it a night and went to bed at 8:30.
