Wedding

It's hard to believe that 14 years have passed since I got married at the Madonna Inn, descending that swirly staircase to "Over the Rainbow," with everything decked out in perfect pink. It was the wedding I had always dreamed of—super gay and wonderfully over the top. My sister officiated the ceremony, with Melissa, Sheila, Sheri, and Joe by our side, and Jayce and Gigi as the ring bearer and flower girl. Rachel sang the Romeo and Juliet theme song, “I’m Kissing You,” and Heather Malcolm delivered a beautiful rendition of "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. It truly couldn’t have been better. Although that marriage has ended, I’ll always treasure that day as something incredibly special—even if I did have a bit of a bridezilla moment here and there.
