The narcissist hates people they cannot manipulate. They see no use for them. If you won't buy into their stories, lies and deception then you are the enemy. The whole world is black or white for them with us and good or not with us and bad - they think. Even though their behavior is terrible, and they force you to walk away, they don't see it this way. Your job was to tolerate their bad behavior and allow them to use you. Don't forget not to complain!! Or else
